Hangin at the house

Although we are not living there we try to all get up there once a week even if it is just of the morning so we can have some family time in the house and our son is happy to be there.

Plenty of cleaning to be done, and fun to be had inside :)

Tiles almost finished

Internal tiles almost 100% finished grouting today, external tiles all down and need to be grouted tomorrow. Should only be a few hours work then all done :)

 

No TV and no Internet make me........

Found out the fibre for our street is not setup correctly so no TV, phone or Internet for at least 7-8 weeks....... AWESOME

They are working out some form of work around atm for when we move in.

Tiler has finished inside and done the screed of the Alfresco today, he picked and good day to be outside tomorrow doing the Alfresco

Tiler started!!

Tiler started on Monday, most of the internal done. Just some cuts and in the pantry to do so am guessing grout on Thursday

Trying to find a concreter to do the driveway, the guy up the road is too busy finishing his place to do mine himself. Sent a mate out to quote me last week and still waiting for the price, my DW is going to call up a couple of others tomorrow to get a couple of other quotes. Want to get that sorted and done quickly so we don't have to walk on dirt to get in once we get our flooring done.

We have an Electrical issue in the house meaning we can't use 2/3rds of the powerpoints...... the on call electrician was out last week to look at it, after spending about 4 hours at the place and changing a heap of stuff he was scratching his head. They start back with all the staff next Monday so will bring the guy out that wired the place and hopefully sort it out

Fences complete

Fences finished today and look great, no pics but I'm sure they will be shown later ;)

He will give me a couple of weeks to sort out my grass etc and call me a few days prior to when he is coming out to make sure I am ready....

Levelling the yard

Bobcat in at 7am this morning and got it all dug out and levelled pretty quick. Only one load to dump so cost was lower than I expected but an unexpected (budgetted) cost....

Fencing started

Our fence has begun and is the first job to be started after Xmas. Peter from Macarthur Fencing and Glass was there nice and early and got one and a bit sides of the house posts done.

I had to quickly organise a bobcat for tomorrow to level off the back yard after talking to him today, we will be leveling off the yard and will need some sleepers installed to retain some dirt so my cost is up a little but only really for the material so that is good.
